ASAP National Training Conference July 24-26, 2017

The American Society of Access Professional's National Training Conference is slated to begin in less than 3 weeks in Arlington, Virginia.  I've been told that registration and rooms at the hotel are filling up, so please register asap for ASAP!

Advanced Information Governance Training

The American Society of Access Professionals (of which I serve as Past President) is holding a training in D.C. on Dec. 6 entitled "Advanced Information Governance Training."  It's a great program that will cover Records Management, the Privacy Act and other issues that are close to and related to the FOIA.  For more information and registration, click here.

DOJ Announces FOIA Training Dates

The Department of Justice has announced certain FOIA training dates for the first part of fiscal year 2017.  More can be found here.

ASAP National Training Conference - July 18-20

Attendance is going fast for the ASAP National Training Conference in Arlington, Virginia on July 18-20.  Those agencies with training money for 2016 have no better value than this event.  Registration details can be found here.

FOIA Training Opportunities

Just a reminder that the American Society of Access Professionals is offering three different training opportunities in the next few months.  Next week in Denver (a limited amount of slots remain available), July will see the National Training Conference in Arlington, VA and September will be in Chicago.  I'll be at all three, and hope to see many of you.

The Summer of FOIA Training

This summer there is no excuse to not get FOIA training as the American Society of Access Professionals has announced that registration is open for three training opportunities.  ASAP will hold training workshops in Denver (June 17-18) and Chicago (September 9-11) and its National Training Conference in Washington on July 27-29.

FOIA Training Goes West

The American Society of Access Professionals has announced the first FOIA training west of the Mississippi since 2011 - ASAP is holding a FOIA workshop in Denver Colorado on June 17 and 18.  Register early for the best prices!  More information can be found here.

Records Management Training - December 11

The American Society for Access Professionals has gone live with the December 11, 2014 Records Management Training to be held at the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, D.C.  Registration can be found here.

This is the last ASAP training session during my tenure as ASAP's President and I believe it will be one of the best - records managment is one FOIA issue that is sorely overlooked on a consistent basis.
