The Blog of the Legal Times has this on the ACLU's lawsuit against the Department of Justice ("DOJ") on information concerning warrantless tracking of cellphones in failed criminal prosecutions. DOJ is claiming that the privacy interests of the defendants always trumps any public interest in this information -- the ACLU is not buying that argument and is pressing the issue in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
That's crazy! I knew they were tracking cell phones, but not cell phone cases! Definitely invasion of privacy!
