Some news on FOIA requests on the Bin Laden Photo and related-items:
First, I was interviewed on the Larry Elder Show on May 10, 2011. It can be found here.
NPR has made a request says the Atlanticwire.com -- the Atlanticwire has been doing a good job tracking the requesters.
The AP has explained to FisbhowlNY why it made the request in the first place.
And the DailyMail reports that the CIA has stated that it will show the photos to a select group of lawmakers. This may be important for two reasons -- first, it may demonstrate that the CIA has control of the records, meaning it is the agency that will be the defendant of record in a FOIA lawsuit and second, depending on who and how they show the picture, it can potentially develop into a waiver argument by the requesters.
