According to Reporter's Committee for Freedom of the Press, the subcommittee of the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a FOIA hearing and it focused on the FOIA Ombudsman's Office created in the 2007 FOIA Amendments.
The current administration has done very little to actually get the office up and running and in fact, tried to scuttle the office in early 2008 by moving its funding back to the Department of Justice.
I don't expect to see this office actually begin work until sometime after a new administration is sworn in. And that will also depend on what administration it actually is.
