The Nevada Appeal reports that the Nevada Senate is debating Senate Bill 123 which would make numerous changes in the Nevada Public Records Law.
The proposal would set stricter time deadlines--just two business days--for responding to requests by government agencies and make government agencies cite to a statute when denying records.
According to the report, government agencies are seeking amendments to the bill that would relaxed the proposed quick turn around dates, while requester groups favor the proposed changes.
