The American Society of Access Professionals ("ASAP") has announced its Summer School session for FOIA training. The training will take place at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. A number of topics are included and ASAP membership is not needed to attend.
The American Society of Access Professionals has announced its first ever National Training Conference to be held March 4-6 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. More information can be found here.
The Department of Justice has announced it's FY 2008 FOIA Training. Four of the two day FOIA trainings are in Washington, D.C. and one is in Denver. It is interesting that none of them are at the DOJ's educational site in South Carolina--it was built in the '90's at the behest of then Sen. Ernest Hollings. If any knows why the FOIA programs have been dropped from the South Carolina curriculum, I'd love to hear from you.
