The Department of Justice's Office of Information Policy will hold a seminar at Main Justice on February 21st discussing the use of digital tools in the administration of the FOIA.
Other offices represented at the seminar will be the Justice Department’s Civil Division and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The discussion will center on benefits that digital tools can bring to FOIA administration.
For those of you who do not speak FOIA language, what this really is about is how using technology can allow non-FOIA portions of agencies that possess responsive records to FOIA requests to speed up their responsibilities (searches and producing responsive records) in the FOIA process.
