Judge Royce Lamberth of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia has told the CIA that five years to complete its search for records on Pablo Escobar is a no-go from the start. The denial came in a court hearing on a non-profits request for CIA records pertaining to Escobar. The CIA claims, via the Assistant U.S. Attorney, that the request is too broad to search in a timely manner. More on the CIA's refusal to actually process the FOIA request, despite the Court's Orders, can be found here at the Blog of the Legal Times.
