Journalist Theo Karantsalis made a request for documents pertaining to a Navy jet crash in 1973. Originally, the Navy said the records couldn't be found; however they were discovered and 98 pages were released -- the entire story can be found here.

Interesting article. Poor records management in the government never surprises me and I am really surprised there isn't more focus from the public forcing them to fix it.

This jet crash accident is a serious thing that government should take actions right away to produce information especially for the affected families.I took a look in your story and I really felt sorry for the casualties.
