Thomas Golden, who litigated on behalf of Bloomberg against the Federal Reserve, has won the Am Law Daily's Litigator of the week award for the decision that came down in support of Bloomberg's position.
Hopefully Golden won't celebrate too much as the Fed appears to be planning an appeal of the decision.
Further, I'd like to see other FOIA litigators, especially those not in large large firms, win the award (or even get some publicity for their accomplishments). I've defeated the government a number of times as have many other lawyers who litigate the FOIA, and it would be nice to see the legal media cover these cases -- even if they aren't brought by the large law firms.
One of the reasons I enjoy just spending time reading other blogs is I learn something new , thanks for helping me gain a better understanding
