Judicial Watch has announced that it has been told that it will received Hillary Clinton's White House Schedules by March 20, 2008. Judicial Watch had sued the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) over these records because NARA had not processed and released the records pursuant to its FOIA request made over two years ago.
NARA and other Clinton defenders, such as the Washington Post's Jonathon Capehart believe that the government is working as fast as it can to release the documents. But readers of this blog know better. It is as simple as this, the government can work as fast or slow as it wants to when it comes to disclosure matters--there is no reason for any administration to push for a quick release of presidential records because the administration in office will one day be out of office and be looking to the kindness of others to not release that administrations records in a timely manner.
Update: The NY Sun ran this editorial about Presidential Records and the Clintons.
